When we (my cousin and I) heard about the opening of Diljān Bakery, we were quite excited. Little Flower Cafe, it's sister cafe (owned be same / similar people), is our favorite cafe in the city. So hearing that there's a bakery opening up in similar vibe, how can one not get excited? So, now, did it live up to it? Yes. Did we get the right selection? Almost. We got some pretty solid baked goods, pastries, whatever you want to call them. We got one sweet, one savory, one kind of in-between LOL, so in a way it was a solid selection cause we tried a variety. We won't be getting the same savory again. Across the board the bread was exceptional (of course), and this meat "pie" was no exception. Solid, but just wasn't the vibe. It was either a lamb samosa or lamn croissant. The croissant-looking thing with pink tips, called the saffron shah was not my cousin's cup of tea because she isn't a fan of saffron. "It just tastes like saffron, which I don't really like", but I fucked with it. ESPECIALLY the pink tips. The thing that we both loved that we believe is universally loved is the halwa sticky bun (pretty sure that's the name). I mean, it's just the bomb. With a rich creamy but solid stick of halwa and an absorbable crispy bread that is sweet and tender, it is a heavenly good.
